When systems aren’t connected, managing product development and operations becomes a manual and time-consuming process. Information sits in scattered Excel sheets and long email threads, making it difficult to track changes and ensure everyone - both internally and externally - is working with the latest data.
For many fashion brands, integrating PLM and ERP is the key to solving these challenges. With PLM managing product development and communication and ERP handling sales, logistics, and financials, brands get a strong digital foundation that eliminates manual data transfers and miscommunication.
On the 27th of February, Maiken Them Hansen, Buying and Production Coordinator
and Lauritz Olsen, IT Manager both from Kingsland Equestrian, Per Brix, Account Manager at TRIMIT, and ESG Expert and Head of communications, Anja Padget from Delogue PLM will come together to discuss exactly this - the impact of ERP and PLM integration and how it’s helping Kingsland work more efficiently.
Ahead of the webinar, we’re taking a closer look at their experience.
Kingsland Equestrian, a premium equestrian apparel brand, was founded in Norway in 1999 and has since expanded across Europe and beyond. Today, the company operates from its headquarters in Copenhagen, with a sales team across key markets and a warehouse in Jutland.
Like many growing fashion brands, Kingsland faced challenges in managing product data across multiple teams and systems. Before integrating Delogue and TRIMIT, a lot of essential information was stuck in emails and Excel sheets, making it difficult to track decisions or onboard new employees smoothly.
"The main issue was miscommunication and a lot of manual work - Excel sheets, emails, and scattered information," Maiken Them Hansen from Kingsland explained. "When people left or joined the company, it was difficult to know and track the decisions that had been made on a style or an item because it was on someone's work email in a long email dialogue."
Beyond internal challenges, transferring product data between PLM and ERP was another manual and error-prone process.
With the full integration between Delogue PLM and TRIMIT ERP, this has completely changed. Kingsland now has a single source of truth for product data, ensuring that once a style is finalized in PLM, it automatically updates in ERP without manual work.
"The main topic is probably having a single source of truth so that we know that truth is always Delogue, where the styles and the products are being developed" Lauritz shared. "Once a style is ready to be sent to Business Central through our TRIMIT solution, the style gets published, transferred, and then we know that if changes are made to the style, it's in one place, Delogue. And any updates will synchronize with Business Central.
For years, many brands have treated PLM and ERP as separate solutions, but the reality is that they are most effective when working together. Per Brix, who has been involved in over 80 ERP implementations, explains how this synergy benefits companies like Kingsland.
"For years, TRIMIT and Delogue were seen as competing solutions, but in reality, they complement each other," he said. "Delogue is where the conversation with suppliers happens, where materials and styles come to life. TRIMIT picks it up from there - handling purchasing, logistics, and sales. When these systems work together, brands get the best of both worlds."
For Kingsland, this integration has transformed supplier collaboration. Before, sample handling and style files were managed manually, with data often being transferred back and forth through email. Now, suppliers have direct access to accurate, real-time product data within Delogue.
"A lot of our suppliers have actually used Delogue with other customers, which is very positive because then they know the system and functions" Maiken Them Hansen added.
Having accurate data in one system means suppliers can make better decisions faster, and Kingsland’s team no longer spends time managing outdated information.
With new EU sustainability regulations on the horizon, brands need to prepare for stricter data tracking and reporting requirements. Having an integrated system will be essential for collecting, managing, and transferring sustainability data efficiently.
Kingsland is already focusing on this shift. One of their key priorities right now is improving bill of materials data in Delogue, ensuring that once sustainability reporting formats are finalized, they’ll be ready to act.
"We're working hard in the design and buying department to collect all of these data's." Maiken from Kingsland explained. "Our bill of material is one of our biggest focuses right now, as it requires a lot of data collection. And then the next step for sure will be to move all of this data from the PLM system to our other platforms. Luckily TRIMIT and Business Central can help us process the data.”
Even though the final EU reporting requirements are still being defined, Kingsland is confident that their integration will help them stay ahead.
"Overall we know what we need to report on with these new EU legislations, but as a lot of other companies, we don't know the final format." they shared. "Now that we are sure that our integration works seamlessly, then at least we know that we can gather all of the data required, and then whatever the requirements will be, we know that we can move the data in our tech stack easily, and that it won't be stuck in the PLM system."
Kingsland Equestrian and TRIMIT will be joining Delogue on the 27th of February at 11 am to discuss their real-world experience with PLM and ERP integration.
