Managing a multi brand company with Delogue – JBS case study

From offices in Sweden, China, Dhaka and Denmark: Bridging the geographical and departmental gap with Delogue.

For JBS, it’s all about making everyday clothing, everyone can enjoy. Their desire for a more organised and structured daily work flow, to monitor their process from idea to finished sales samples, led them to Delogue.  

JBS said goodbye to excel sheets and can now focus entirely on what they do best – textiles.

About JBS

JBS is known as Scandinavia’s largest supplier of underwear. Underwear is still their speciality but they have greatly expanded their product range to include new areas of business. Today they are called, JBS Textile Group A/S, and make a variety of clothing enjoyed by millions.

They currently boast a total of 16 own brands, which are all different. They also develop and produce Private Label collections in close collaboration with major customers.

With all these different brands, they send out a total of over 100,000 products from their warehouse, on a daily basis. Their products range from underwear, socks and nylon tights – to shirts, trousers, jackets, shoes, hats, gloves – and much more.

You can find JBS clothing on their site and in several retail shops and department stores across Denmark.

The Danish brand implemented Delogue back in April of this year and in just a few months have already experienced a huge positive impact on how Delogue facilitates the managing of their daily work processes. Daniel Kirk Sørensen, Sales/Buying Manager CCO at JBS Textile Group A/S, shared a few words with us about the their search for a PDM that could control all steps and deadlines the company needed.

 

“Delogue is now the online communication platform we are using between design, product development, pattern designers, buyers, merchandisers, QC and suppliers. Communication about prices, designs, deadlines etc., in local mail boxes is now over and we share all information with each other in Delogue. We asked Daniel some questions to further understand why JBS began searching for a product development managing tool and why they ultimately chose to go with Delogue.

What were the most important reasons for searching after a new PDM?

We had no system to monitor our process from an idea to finished sales samples. It was controlled individually on small post-its, excel sheets and information in each individual mail box. With 16 brands and private label production, it was needed in order to control all steps and deadlines.

Why was Delogue the right choice for JBS? And where there any features that caught your attention immediately?

On the list of demands for a PDM system there were limited points not fulfilled. We have offices in Sweden, China, Dhaka and Denmark. Therefore it was important for us that we could easily implement it for all employees and that they can have easy access no matter if they are in the office or in the factory. Several suppliers already knew the system from other customers and they only gave us good response seen from a suppliers perspective. It was very important for us that the system is user friendly and able to make the tasks, process & overview easy for the suppliers. All active suppliers are very happy with the system and finds it very easy to work with.

How exactly has your business been optimised after implementing Delogue?

Now we know exactly where we are with all brands, collections, styles. We know the status all the way down to fabrics, colors, prints, waistband etc. Every day Delogue creates the overview of what we need to focus on to reach our deadlines and all related parts can see the information in the system. We can easily assist and help each other as all information is in Delogue and no longer on local desks, mail boxes, local excel sheets, post-it etc.

How has Delogue facilitated the communication, data sharing and time management between departments?
