Delogue joins SwePass: Supporting the future of circular textiles

Delogue PLM is proud to be part of SwePass, a research project led by RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden), aimed at pushing the shift toward more digital and circular industries. With a strong focus on traceability and data transparency, SwePass explores how Digital Product Passports (DPPs) can support circular transformation across the textile value chain.

Delogue PLM x RISE

We’re excited to share that Delogue PLM is part of a new research project led by RISE, called SwePass. The goal is to support the green and digital transformation of European industries, textiles included, by improving how product data is managed, shared, and used across the value chain.

Delogue PLM is contributing to a work package focused on textile sorting for reuse and recycling. This part of the project brings together a range of industry partners across the textile value chain, from brands and suppliers to sorting technology experts. Our role is to help ensure that production data is accessible and connected in the systems needed to support smarter and more sustainable decision-making.

“We’re excited to contribute to SwePass and be part of shaping how the textile industry moves toward more circular practices. As data becomes a key transparency enabler, it’s important for us to help ensure that the information behind a product is present, accessible and usable.”

Anja Padget, Head of ESG & Communications at Delogue

At the heart of the project is the Digital Product Passport (DPP), a key element in the upcoming ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation). The DPP is a digital record that holds essential information about a product, such as its material content and how it can be reused or recycled. In the SwePass textile demonstrator, the focus is on testing how this data can be connected to RFID tags to support smarter and more efficient textile sorting at the end of a product’s life.

Delogue PLM will be involved in testing and piloting real-world scenarios, helping to demonstrate how DPPs can be applied in practice, from the production stage all the way to fiber recycling. It is a step toward reducing textile waste and supporting a more circular fashion industry.

We are very proud to be part of this collaborative effort, and we look forward to sharing more as the project progresses. If you would like to read more about the project click here
